Along the Nile River, a civilization known as the mysterious Lost Kingdom of Kush, is home to over 200 pyramids. The ancient Nubian civilization in Sudan, often ruled by a queen, was one of the earliest in the heart of Africa, rich in human history and culture. The bountiful resources found between the Nile River and Kush Kingdoms' mountains made for fertile soil that allowed for trade with ancient Egypt. One of the most popular trades being Oud Incense, as the two civilizations were very common in culture. These scented luxuries are handmade wood chips that are immersed in exotic, Sudanese perfumes and fragrant oils burned as incense. These incense are also used for various celebration purposes throughout Southeast Asia, North Africa and the Middle East, including China, Japan, and India. The ancient Nubian tribes of Sudan used these for meditation and relaxation purposes as well as welcoming guests and celebrations of every kind.
